(22) The Definite No-No’s In The Make Money

There are many different things that people do wrong when they want to make money from home. Stay out of trouble with these helpful tips.

There are many mistakes and no-no’s that most people make when they are just starting to make money from home that can be easily avoided if you know what NOT to do! Here are so many different pitfalls and mistakes that can really cost you a great deal of either time or money or possibly both if you are not careful. The 3 biggest mistakes and pitfalls to avoid are: underestimating yourself, underestimating time limits and not being completely honest.

Underestimating Yourself

This is very common when you are just starting a new make money from home business. It does not matter whether you are doing at-home typing or freelance writing; the most common mistake that people make is under-estimating themselves and what they are truly capable of and/or are really worth in terms of the time that they put into the tasks. This is where you really need to be careful about how much you are bidding when it comes to freelance projects. If you under-bid, you will not be able to make a living that way.

Underestimating Time Limits

When you are working on a project that is part of how you make money from home, you need to take into account every possible thing that could distract you and keep you from completing your assignments and tasks on time and getting them to your client(s). There are going to be times when you are typing slower than you usually do; and yet other when you are having trouble with your internet connection or mailbox for whatever reason. You need to factor these possibilities in when you are bidding on a project or trying to get it finished.

Not Being Completely Honest

This is one thing that will not only cause you trouble, it will cause you to lose face with those that you are working with while trying to make money from home. If you are underestimating your costs or over estimating the value of a product or service, you will be more likely to be getting a lower price than you are expecting for it and must take the loss in this case. If you are lying about your experience or your knowledge, this too will come back to bite you in the butt!

Watch Your Words

This is something that you might not think makes that much difference when you make money from home; but it really does. There are going to be times when you might want to bad-mouth a seller, or a current or former client; but you will want to think very careful about this. There is almost nothing that does not get around this great big planet of ours via the internet. This is one of the fastest ways that employers co-workers and clients have found out what is being said about them… and how many people have lost their jobs too! Watch what you write in your personal blogs and on those social networking sites. Your words have a way of biting back.
